Clarke, Jeremiah.   1674-1707
English composer and organist. He was organist at Winchester College and vicar-choral at St Paul´s Cathedral until 1704, when he became organist jointly with William Croft at the Chapel Royal.

Christmas Carols

The term refers to a song or hymn in which the main theme is Christmas. It´s tradition goes back as far as the 13 th century. Carols were originally communal songs sung during celebrations like harvest tide, and only later they began to be sung in church and to be associated with Christmas.

German composer and keyboard player, the most important number of a large and distinguished musical family. Bach was born in Eisenach ,21st March 1685, and learnt the basics of music from his father. Died on the 28th July, 1750.

Music of the period 1600 – 1750.  Baroque music is characterized by the use of the continue and its resultant establishment of major and minor tonality, which succeeded the modal system of the Renaissance.  Many new forms came into being during this period, including opera, oratorio, cantata, concerto, and the suite.
